Postdoc Position in Biology: Utrecht University invites applications for a postdoctoral position focusing on the mechanosensing of plant immunity. This role involves understanding how plants detect mechanical forces associated with pathogen invasion and translate these cues into an immune response.

Job Description:
The selected candidate will conduct experiments to deepen the understanding of the molecular processes that underpin how plants sense mechanical forces during infection. Responsibilities include identifying early signaling proteins and genes, analyzing candidate genes through mutant and perturbed protein studies, and examining infection phenotypes at different levels (macroscopic, microscopic, and biophysical).
You will join the Translational Plant Biology (TPB) group, contributing to ongoing research about plant immunity and signaling. This role is part of the GreenTE (Green Tissue Engineering) Gravitation program, collaborating with a multidisciplinary consortium of seven Dutch universities.
How to Apply:
Interested candidates should submit the following documents:
- Letter of motivation
- Curriculum vitae
- Contact information for at least two references (names, telephone numbers, and email addresses)
