Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Hold or be about to obtain a PhD in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, immunology, virology, or a related discipline (to be obtained within 3 months of the closing date).
  • Significant relevant research experience with a publication record in RNA biology, translational control, or RNA decay.
  • Proficiency in various molecular and cellular biology techniques including:
  • PCR
  • CRISPR
  • Site-directed mutagenesis
  • Western blot
  • Flow cytometry
  • ELISA

Job Description:
You will work closely with Dr. Seyed Mehdi Jafarnejad and collaborators to investigate the mechanisms regulating mRNA translation and their implications for the innate immune response. This role will involve the use of high-throughput assays such as ribosome profiling, RNA-Seq, CLIP, and cytokine arrays to analyze how alterations in these mechanisms affect cellular responses to immunological triggers.
