Postdoctoral Associate: The Kevin P. Granata Biomechanics Laboratory at Virginia Tech is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Associate to join a dynamic, interdisciplinary team. This role focuses on developing a prognostic model for second Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury risk, aiming to enhance care for individuals recovering from ACL injuries.

Eligibility/Qualification
| Requirement | Details |

| Education | PhD in Biomedical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Kinesiology, Athletic Training, Physical Therapy, or a related field (PhD must be awarded no more than four years prior to the appointment). |
| Experience | Degree in Physical Therapy or Athletic Training; experience in biomechanics data collection methods such as motion capture, electromyography, in-shoe load measurements, and force plates. |
| Skills | Publication record in peer-reviewed journals, experience in mentoring junior researchers, programming skills in MATLAB or Python, and statistical analysis knowledge (R studio preferred). |
| Clinical Exposure | Clinical assessment of sports injuries and experience working with adolescent populations are preferred. |
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Mentoring graduate and undergraduate students within the Granata Laboratory.
- Collaborating on laboratory and clinic-based biomechanics assessments.
- Engaging with clinical and research teams across multi-center studies.
- Coordinating clinical and biomechanical assessments and reviewing medical records.
- Assisting in grant proposal preparation, including K99/R00 applications.
- Disseminating research findings via publications and presentations at conferences.
