Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA) in Microbiology: We are seeking a creative, collaborative, and enthusiastic laboratory microbiologist to lead bacteriology work on a project aimed at identifying novel chemical compounds to target human infections caused by Klebsiella species. The position will also be affiliated with projects focusing on healthcare-associated infections and antimicrobial resistance.

Job Description

The successful candidate will:

  • Develop and undertake workflows to phenotypically characterize bacterial strains.
  • Conduct antimicrobial susceptibility testing (e.g., MICs/MBCs) of established drugs and candidate hits.
  • Support molecular microbiology efforts for genetic modifications.
  • Conduct resistance evolution experiments to understand drug resistance mechanisms related to novel compounds.
