Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD in related fields
- Expertise in plant-microbe interactions
- Skills in microbiology, plant biology, and molecular biology
- Experience in “omics” analyses is preferred
- International experience is a plus
Job Description
The successful candidate will:
- Investigate the impact of wheat genetics and nutritional status on tripartite interactions involving arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and Zymoseptoria tritici.
- Explore potential trade-offs between resistance stimulation and growth promotion by mycorrhizae.
- Analyze underlying molecular mechanisms using transcriptomic and metabolomic approaches.
Work will be conducted in controlled conditions with a focus on various factors including fungal strains, plant genotypes, and nutrient status. There will be opportunities to collaborate with teams specializing in genomics, metabolomics, and microscopy.
