Eligibility/Qualification

  • Master’s degree in psychology, sociology, or a related discipline (candidates nearing completion may apply).
  • Strong quantitative skills and proficiency in R and/or Stata.
  • Interest in working with large-scale secondary datasets and longitudinal data analysis.
  • Excellent academic record, particularly in statistics and quantitative methods.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of French is not required.

Job Description

The successful candidate will:

  • Contribute to data assembly and harmonization over the first 12-18 months.
  • Merge harmonized data with country-year indicators and assess data quality.
  • Develop reproducible workflows (e.g., R scripts) and documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with project supervisors, postdoctoral researchers, and student assistants.
  • Develop a doctoral thesis and publish scientific findings based on the global dataset.
  • Present findings at international conferences.
  • Engage in the academic community at the LIVES Centre.
