Eligibility/Qualification
- Education: PhD in physics, electronic engineering, or a related field concerning solid-state detectors.
- Experience: Familiarity with radiation detectors; knowledge of silicon sensor design is an advantage.
- Skills: Proficiency in Technology Computer Aided Design (TCAD) simulations, preferably using Synopsys or Silvaco tools.
- Attributes: Highly motivated, independent, collaborative, and effective communicator in English.
Job Description
- Lead the simulation, optimization, and design of next-generation thin-entrance window and LGAD pixel sensors.
- Focus on developing technologies for the soft X-ray “deep water window” energy range.
- Participate in the characterization of developed sensors and perform data analysis for capability understanding.
- Collaborate with beamline scientists and engage in pilot experiments at synchrotrons to validate performance using state-of-the-art X-ray detectors.
- Gain insights into all aspects of detector development, from design to final pilot experiments, while working within a strong teamwork-oriented environment.
