Eligibility / Qualification
For Most Departments (UGC Regulations 2018)
Candidates must fulfill either Eligibility A or B:
Eligibility A
- Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks in the relevant/allied subject from a recognized Indian or foreign university.
- Must have qualified:
- UGC-NET / CSIR-NET / SLET / SET
OR - Hold a Ph.D. degree as per UGC Regulations 2009/2016 and amendments.
- UGC-NET / CSIR-NET / SLET / SET
Eligibility B
- Ph.D. degree from a foreign university ranked within the Top 500 globally by QS, THE, or ARWU rankings.
For Business Management
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
- Master’s Degree in MBA/PGDM/CA/ICWA/M.Com with First Class or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience after Master’s degree.
Additional Notes
- Superannuated teachers may also apply up to a maximum age limit of 70 years.
- NET/SLET/SET exemption applicable as per UGC norms.
Job Description
Selected candidates will be engaged as Guest Faculty on a temporary basis for teaching and academic responsibilities during the current semester. The engagement may be extended depending upon:
- Academic requirements of the University
- Satisfactory performance of the candidate
Guest Faculty members:
- Will receive honorarium as per UGC norms
- Will not receive pension, gratuity, leave, or other regular employee benefits
- Will not have voting rights or membership in statutory bodies of the University
Salary / Honorarium
- ₹1500 per lecture
- Maximum ₹50,000 per month
- Income tax deduction:
- 10% for PAN holders
- 20% for non-PAN holders
