Eligibility/Qualification

Education and Experience:

  • A. Bachelor’s degree in biology or related field (minimum 30 semester hours in biological sciences, including 9 hours in ecology).
  • OR B. A combination of education and experience equivalent to a major in biological sciences, statistics, or mathematics.
  • Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree required.

Specialized Experience

  • Advanced spatial analysis and remote sensing.
  • Connectivity modeling expertise.
  • Programming skills (e.g., Python, R) and experience with large spatial datasets.

Job Description

The Postdoctoral Researcher will:

  • Develop advanced modeling frameworks for landscape connectivity using environmental and biodiversity data.
  • Create open-source tools for planning and policy applications.
  • Foster collaboration across institutions for research relevant to conservation.
  • Advise and train students and staff in research techniques and methodologies.
  • Contribute to grant proposal preparation and publication reviews.
