Research Area

The Alpha Cell Program focuses on constructing a comprehensive molecular-level model of the human cell utilizing data from various biological modalities, including imaging, transcriptomics, and spatial omics.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • Required:
  • Doctoral degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, cell biology, or a closely related field.
  • Strong understanding of biological datasets relevant to cell biology.
  • Proficiency in programming (Python or similar) and collaboration tools (Git/GitHub).
  • Preferred:
  • Additional experience with large, heterogeneous datasets.
  • Familiarity with data services, APIs, and machine learning infrastructure.

Job Description

The postdoctoral researcher will focus on:

  • Developing systems for integrating and structuring vast biological datasets.
  • Collaborating with teams at the Human Protein Atlas and other researchers.
  • Establishing computational systems that facilitate data accessibility for AI tools and enhancing open science workflows.
