Eligibility/Qualification
- Strong academic background in fields such as architectural science, lighting, building science, behavioural science, human physiology and sleep science, data science, or computer science.
- Hold a Master’s degree (Research or Philosophy) in one of the relevant fields.
- Experience with quantitative research methods, field measurements, or human-technology interaction is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in interdisciplinary teams.
- Must commence the degree by October/November 2026.
Job Description
The PhD candidates will be engaged in:
- Collecting and analyzing high-resolution environmental and physiological datasets.
- Designing and executing data collection in clinical environments.
- Implementing advanced statistical and machine learning approaches for data analysis.
- Contributing to the development of design guidelines and decision-support tools for healthcare environments.
Two specific PhD projects are available:
- Sleep and Physiological Data Analysis (Data-driven focus)
- Environmental Modelling and Lighting Simulation (Computational focus)
