Eligibility/Qualification

  • Demonstrated strong academic performance.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Proficient in R, Excel, SPSS, or willingness to learn scientific programming.
  • Strong communication skills with an interest in interdisciplinary research.
  • Proficient in English (both oral and written); knowledge of Dutch is an asset.

Job Description

  • Conduct research on how dying melanoma cells interact with tumor vasculature to influence anti-tumor immune responses.
  • Utilize advanced experimental techniques such as cell culture, mouse tumor models, flow cytometry, and single-cell transcriptomics.
  • Collaborate with researchers to advance mechanistic understanding and translational applications in cancer immunotherapy.
  • Prepare and defend a PhD thesis.
  • Present research findings to national and international audiences.
  • Engage in limited teaching and research support tasks.
