Eligibility/Qualification
- Required: Ph.D. in Food Science and Technology or a related field (awarded within 4 years prior to appointment).
- Experience:
- Research experience in food science and engineering
- Strong publication record
- Skills:
- Self-motivated and capable of independent and collaborative work
- Preferred:
- Research experience in protein and carbohydrate chemistry
- Experience in machine learning and molecular simulation
Job Description
The successful candidate will:
- Conduct research on converting agricultural and food processing byproducts into plant-based proteins and other value-added products.
- Utilize machine learning and molecular modeling approaches to develop methodologies and optimize process design.
- Contribute to grant writing efforts to secure funding and mentor graduate and undergraduate students.
