Research Area

The project will utilize spatial transcriptomics, live imaging, and computational methods to explore how cellular states, mechanical forces, and developmental history influence cell fate decisions and tissue assembly, specifically in the zebrafish retina and early embryos.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • A completed Master’s degree in biology, biophysics, bioengineering, computational biology, or a related field
  • Strong interest in embryonic development, methodological innovation, and quantitative biology
  • Experience with imaging, computational approaches, zebrafish genetics, or molecular biology is advantageous
  • Excellent scientific writing, communication, and interpersonal skills

Job Description

  • Conduct independent research on cell fate decisions and tissue formation in zebrafish
  • Apply and develop spatial transcriptomics, live imaging, and computational analysis methods
  • Design and perform experiments, analyze data, and interpret results
  • Present research findings at lab meetings, conferences, and seminars
  • Contribute to scientific publications
  • Gain teaching and mentoring experience by participating in undergraduate/graduate courses and supervising student projects
