Eligibility / Qualification
Applicants must have one of the following:
- Master’s degree (“Laurea Magistrale” or equivalent)
- 5-year integrated degree (old system)
- Equivalent foreign Master’s level qualification
Additional conditions:
- No age or citizenship restrictions
- Candidates already holding a PhD are not eligible
- Final-year Master’s students may apply conditionally
Job Description
Selected PhD scholars will:
- Conduct advanced 4-year doctoral research programs
- Attend coursework (mainly in the first year)
- Participate in structured academic training and seminars
- Complete research stays abroad (minimum two semesters encouraged)
- Develop and defend a PhD dissertation at the end of the program
- Receive annual scholarship funding and research grants
Scholarship includes:
- €19,000 per year stipend
- Additional research funding (10%–20% per year)
- Extra allowance for international research stays (up to +50%)
