PCTS Postdoctoral Fellowships at Princeton University
The Princeton Center for Theoretical Science (PCTS) invites nominations for its Postdoctoral Fellowship program. Selected fellows receive a three-year appointment fully supported by the Center, research travel funding, mentoring from resident Faculty Fellows, and the freedom to develop their scientific interests.

Job Description
Center Postdoctoral Fellows receive a three-year appointment entirely supported by PCTS. Fellows are provided with research travel funds and have substantial freedom to pursue and develop their scientific interests with support and mentoring from resident Faculty Fellows.
Application Materials
After nomination, candidates will receive an email containing instructions for applying through Princeton University’s online application system. The full application requires:
- Curriculum vitae
- Research statement
- List of publications
- Two references
- Initial nomination letter
The nominator does not count as one of the two references, although the nomination letter serves as a de facto recommendation letter. There is no prescribed length or format for the research statement. All documents must be uploaded in PDF format.
How to Apply
A university faculty member or permanent research staff member must first nominate the candidate through the official nomination form. Once nominated, the candidate will receive application instructions by email and must submit all required materials through the online application site.
Last Date to Apply
November 6 of the relevant fellowship cycle. The call for nominations typically opens on August 25 and closes on November 6. All candidate application materials must also be submitted by November 6. Applicants should confirm the active cycle and deadline on the official website.
