BRIC-Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) has announced recruitment for five short-term project positions. Eligible candidates may attend the written test, skill test, or interview at 9:00 AM on the date specified for each post.

Designation and Vacancy Details

  • Assistant Data Manager: 1 post; Rs. 40,000 per month; maximum age 35 years; walk-in date: 16 September 2026.
  • Project Research Scientist-II: 1 post; Rs. 67,000 per month plus HRA; maximum age 40 years; walk-in date: 21 September 2026.
  • Project Research Scientist-I: 1 post; Rs. 56,000 per month plus HRA; maximum age 35 years; walk-in date: 22 September 2026.
  • Project Assistant: 1 post; Rs. 45,000 per month; maximum age 35 years; walk-in date: 23 September 2026.
  • Project Technician: 1 post; Rs. 38,727 per month; maximum age 35 years; walk-in date: 23 September 2026.

Research Areas

  • Assistant Data Manager: Clinical data management for a randomized placebo-controlled trial studying losartan for preventing disease progression in patients with rheumatic heart disease.
  • Project Research Scientist-II: Tuberculosis, CNS infection, bacterial regulators, CRISPRi, molecular biology, immunology, and BSL-3 research.
  • Project Research Scientist-I: Medical imaging, maternal and neonatal health, artificial intelligence, and data science.
  • Project Assistant and Project Technician: Multi-epitope nanoparticle-based broadly protective beta-coronavirus vaccine research.

Walk-in venue: THSTI, NCR Biotech Science Cluster, 3rd Milestone, Faridabad-Gurugram Expressway, Faridabad – 121001.

The Project Research Scientist-I position will be based at THSTI.

Eligibility and Qualifications

Assistant Data Manager

Applicants must possess a postgraduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Alternatively, they may possess a graduate degree in any discipline with at least two years of post-qualification experience in data entry, MIS, data analysis, computer science, or operations.

Desirable: Diploma or certificate in Information Technology or Computer Science, along with basic knowledge of MS Excel, databases, and data management.

Project Research Scientist-II

Applicants must hold a PhD in Life Sciences in the area of infectious diseases, preferably tuberculosis, from a recognized university. They must also have at least one research article published in a peer-reviewed, PubMed-indexed journal.

Project Research Scientist-I

Applicants must possess a postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Bioinformatics, or a related field, with specific coursework in data science, medical image analysis, or artificial intelligence and proficiency in Python or R.

Alternatively, candidates may possess a BE or BTech in Computer Science, Biotechnology, or a related discipline from a recognized university.

Project Assistant

Applicants must possess a postgraduate degree in any branch of Life Sciences with at least three years of experience in cell culture, BSL-3 work, virus propagation, and molecular biology.

Project Technician

Applicants must possess a postgraduate degree in any branch of Life Sciences with at least two years of experience in cell culture, virus propagation, titration, assays, and related work.

Job Description

Assistant Data Manager

  • Assist in developing, reviewing, and maintaining study databases and electronic Case Report Forms.
  • Perform data entry, review, routine quality checks, query resolution, and data-cleaning activities.
  • Support reconciliation of clinical data with relevant source or external data.
  • Assist with database freeze, database lock, user acceptance testing, data exports, listings, and reports.
  • Maintain Data Management Plans, query logs, database documentation, and other study records.
  • Coordinate with study team members and support other Data Science team activities.

Project Research Scientist-II

  • Conduct PCR, gene cloning, recombinant protein expression, and protein purification.
  • Perform biochemical assays, including enzyme kinetics, CD spectroscopy, and protein interaction studies.
  • Conduct RNA extraction, cDNA synthesis, and real-time quantitative RT-PCR.
  • Culture Mycobacterium tuberculosis and generate recombinant strains in a BSL-3 facility.
  • Work with animal infection models related to tuberculosis under BSL-3 containment.
  • Perform flow cytometry, ELISA, and mammalian cell culture for host-pathogen interaction studies.

Project Research Scientist-I

The selected candidate will develop artificial intelligence models using medical images and videos. Responsibilities include cleaning and preprocessing datasets, writing analytical programs, conducting test runs, and applying multiple analytical strategies to develop models.

Project Assistant

The selected candidate will undertake BSL-2 and BSL-3 virus-related work, assays, cell culture, virus propagation, PCR, Western blotting, and other molecular biology activities.

Project Technician

The selected candidate will perform BSL-2 in-vitro virus work, pseudovirus generation, molecular biology procedures, and other laboratory activities.
