Job Description

The successful candidate will join the Regulatory Genomics research group to investigate how microglial states emerge in response to neurodegenerative disease-related stressors and how these states manifest within diseased brain tissue. The project will utilize advanced single-cell and spatial genomic techniques developed by the group, as well as computational inference approaches, to study glial gene regulation.

About the Regulatory Genomics Group

The Regulatory Genomics group at the Biomedicine unit, MET, investigates the spatial and temporal dynamics of gene regulation in disease. They use single-cell and spatial genomics to map cell type-specific regulatory programs relevant to disease onset and progression, aiming to understand how these regulatory processes reside within the disease microenvironment and how genetic variation influences them.
