Job/Position Description-

We are seeking an associate scientist in structural biology or structural bioinformatics to aid us in our mission to improve human health and quality of life through advanced computational methods. Our Drug Discovery group consists of over 80 designers, modelers, computational/medicinal chemists, crystallographers, biochemists, and biologists, and is supported by over 100 software engineers and a large-scale computing infrastructure. Four of the programs on which we’ve worked in the last seven years have advanced to the clinic; two are still progressing through trials; and two have been approved by the FDA.

Job Responsibilities- The candidate would be responsible for computationally characterizing potential drug targets that are amenable to Schrödinger’s drug discovery platform; providing expertise in protein structure, ligand binding, and allostery; compiling information on protein targets from databases and the scientific literature; and joining a team of enthusiastic scientists who are solving major challenges in medicine.
