Government of India, Department of Biotechnology, invites application for Scientific Consultants Position for eligible and interested candidates

About- The Department of Biotechnology (DBT) invites applications from Professionals (including retired Government Officers) for engagement of Consultants (Scientific) on a contract basis, initially for a period of one year from the date of engagement which may be extended by another one year, subject to the need of the Department and satisfactory performance. Prospective candidates need to apply with the credentials and their applications will be screened before the interview. Scientific Consultants Position

Research/Job Area- Biotechnology or Life Sciences or Veterinary Science

Location- New Delhi

Eligibility/Qualification–

Age Limit	Candidates should be below 65 years of age as on the date of Advertisement.
Education qualification	Essential Professional having Ph.D. Degree in the field of Biotechnology or Life Sciences or Veterinary Science from a recognised University.
Experience	Consultants should be professionals having a Ph.D. Degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of fifteen years’ post-qualificatioù experience in the requisite field. The work experience requirement may be relaxed in exceptional cases in respect of the deserving candidates. Retired Government employees with grade pay of Rs. 8900 (pre-revised) and above or Level 13A in the Pay Matrix, having experience of 5 years in the required domain field would also be eligible for the position.

Job/Position Description-

Consultants will be required to provide high-quality inputs in the specific areas of responsibility assigned by the Division Head.
This includes idea generation, new program development, doing sectoral analysis.
Planning of ongoing initiatives and connecting them to National and International Initiatives.
