University of Hyderabad, India, invites applications for Guest Faculty Positions in UoH from eligible and interested candidates
About-Â The University of Hyderabad is inviting applications for temporary Guest Faculty positions in the Statistics area. The qualifications include a good academic record with an M.Sc. in Statistics with 55% and qualifying in NET/SLET. Candidates must have an average of 50% marks and above in graduation. A relaxation of 5% is provided at the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree level for SC/ST/OBC/PWD categories. A Ph.D degree in Statistics is desirable. Superannuated teachers may also be considered for engagement as Guest Faculty. The appointment is purely temporary, with a maximum term of one semester from January-May 2025. Eligibility/Qualification–
- A good academic record with M.Sc. in Statistics with 55% and qualifying in NET/SLET
- Under the term “Good Academic Record”, the candidate must have obtained an average of 50% marks and above in Graduation.
- A relaxation of 5% is provided at the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree level for the candiadates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing the good academic record.
- Possessing a Ph.D degree in Statistics is desirable.
- Applicants who have subimitted their Ph.D. thesis in Statistics and are awaiting the completion of the Viva-voice examination may however be considered.
- The superannuated teachers may also be considered for engagement as Guest Faculty subject to a maximum age limit of 70 years.

The School of Mathematics & Statistics is inviting applications for the Guest Faculty positions (04) under the following category, purely on temporary basis, in the area of Statistics.
Category ::OBC – 02 vacancy
Category : ST – 01 vacancy
Category : SC – 01 vacancy
- The appointment is purely temporary in nature and will be for a maximum period of one semester, i.e., January-May, 2025. The term of appointment may be extended depending on the requirement.
- The Honorarium towards teaching as Guest Faculty shall be Rs. 1,500.00 (One thousand five hundred) per lecture, subject to a maximum of Rs.50,000.00 per month.
