THSTI, Biotech Science Cluster, Faridabad, India invites application for Research Jobs in THSTI from eligible and interested candidates
About- THSTI has grown from an idea to an institution that is ready to take its place with leading scientific institutions in the country but differentiates itself by being aimed beyond discovery research, to the fostering of application through its own efforts and through partnerships. THSTI has five areas identified as ‘star’ projects where we will develop world-class research and translational programs. These are i) vaccines, ii) maternal and child health, iii) point-of-care diagnostics, iv) metabolic diseases and nutrition, and v) training in clinical and product development. All of these will be pursued in parallel with the creation of an inter-institutional ecosystem in the NCR Biotech Science Cluster focused on the development of an academia-biotech-industry collaboration modeled on the science research parks that are nested within major innovation hubs.

| 1. | Research Scientist One post Rs. 1,00,000/- 40 years | MD or MTech or equivalent or Ph.D or corresponding degree in any are of Life Sciences/Medical Sciences with one year of post-qualification research experience. | Establish proof of principle for microbiome-based interventions in (i) Inflammatory bowel disease and (ii) Pre-term birth Desirable work: The Candidate will work with the existing team in THSTI on the high throughput multi-omics data of (i) vaginal microbiome of Indian women with term and preterm birth outcomes and (ii) gut microbiome of patients suffering from chronic and acute infections. Work experience: (i) Candidate should have competencies and work experience in (a) Genomics and Metagenomics or (b) Handling LCMS and Proteomics and Big-data analysis. (ii) The work experience should be supported by relevant publications as the first author/equally contributed first author or corresponding author. Candidates must have the competency to operate the NGS platform or LC-MS platform |
Job/Position Description –
These are short-term positions and extension will be granted subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbents and tenure of the project for which they are selected. Those appointed to these positions will not have any claim for regularization of their employment.
