Clinical Postdoctoral Scholar: Purdue University’s Department of Psychological Sciences is seeking a Clinical Postdoctoral Scholar to work on an NIH-funded project led by Dr. Bridgette Kelleher. Job Description: The Clinical Postdoctoral Scholar will support the implementation of the ongoing clinical trial under Project WellCAST. The role involves project management, data analysis, and academic writing. Candidates should have expertise in at least one relevant area, including neurogenetic syndromes, caregiver/parenting interventions, clinical psychology, ecological momentary assessment, precision health, peer-to-peer coaching, or motivational interviewing. For candidates interested in psychology licensure, supervised clinical hours are possible.

The position is full-time (40 hours per week) for an initial duration of two years, with potential for longer-term employment based on additional funding. The candidate will collaborate with Dr. Bridgette Kelleher and Purdue University investigators. Remote work is possible, but Indiana residency is required for those pursuing licensure hours.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in psychology, data science, or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in one or more content areas relevant to Project WellCAST.
  • Strong writing skills with evidence of first-authored publications.
  • Experience conducting statistical analyses with longitudinal datasets.
  • Proficiency in data management and visualization using statistical software (e.g., R, SAS).
  • Commitment to fostering inclusivity and diversity.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational and time management abilities with attention to detail.
  • Strong multitasking and deadline management.
  • Initiative, responsibility, and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Experience in mentoring undergraduate and/or graduate students.
  • For clinical candidates, appropriate training in implementing evidence-based interventions (e.g., ACT and DBT) with adult clients.
