Eligibility/Qualification:
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Ph.D. in Natural Sciences or equivalent discipline from a recognized university/institute.
- Relevant research experience related to microbiology, plant sciences, or allied fields will be preferred.
- 5% relaxation in marks may be granted to SC/ST candidates as per applicable rules.
Job Description:
The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) invites candidates of Indian nationality to attend a walk-in test/interview for the position of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) under a sponsored research project titled “YENFARM – Yeast Endophytes for Nitrogen Fixation in Rice and Maize.” The appointment will be purely contractual and offered on a consolidated salary, renewable annually or until the completion of the project, whichever is earlier. Interested and eligible candidates are encouraged to attend the walk-in interview with the required documents.

Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
The selected candidate will work on the research project “YENFARM – Yeast Endophytes for Nitrogen Fixation in Rice and Maize.” Responsibilities may include:
- Conducting laboratory and field-based research experiments.
- Studying yeast endophytes and their role in nitrogen fixation in crops.
- Data analysis, interpretation, and documentation of research findings.
- Assisting in project reporting and scientific publications.
- Supporting the principal investigator in project-related research activities.
