Postdoc Position in Germany 2019 -LMU Research Fellowships

Group Leader (f/m/d): The Leibniz Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research is seeking a highly qualified Group Leader in the field of ‘Genetics of environmental adaptation’ for crop plants. The research will focus on molecular genetics/genomics of environmental adaptation in crop plants of temperate zones, addressing innovative questions in biotic/abiotic adaptation using molecular genetic/genomic, cell biological, and physiological approaches.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Highly qualified scientist with an excellent scientific track record.
  • PhD in Plant Biology, Genetics, Genomics, or Molecular Breeding.
  • Demonstrated reputation in the mentioned fields through publications and conference contributions.
  • Competence in the supervision of students/early career scientists/technical staff.
  • Experience in interdisciplinary interaction and cooperation.
  • Demonstrated fundraising skills.

  • Conducting independent and internationally competitive research.
  • Attracting competitive extramural funding.
  • Showing complementarity with the research priorities of IPK and participating in interdisciplinary collaborations.
  • Communicating research through scientific journals, conferences, and public outreach.
