PhD Scholarship in Concrete Products Integrating Upcycled Cellulose Biochar from Non-treated Timber and Textile Waste

The PhD scholarship focuses on investigating the potential of upcycled cellulose biochar derived from non-treated Timber and Textile waste in concrete production. This research aims to develop sustainable concrete products suitable for building and road applications, ensuring engineering properties are maintained throughout normal production processes. The outcomes of this project have the potential to significantly benefit the Australian construction industry by introducing innovative recycled construction materials.

Eligibility: To be eligible for this scholarship, candidates must possess a Master by Research degree, a Master by Coursework degree with a significant research component graded as high distinction or equivalent, or an Honours degree achieving first class in Materials/Civil Engineering or a related field. The selected PhD candidate will be based at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia.
