Wellcome Postdoctoral Positions: Two funded postdoctoral positions are available at Harvard to conduct research on the biochemical mechanisms and physical forces driving bacterial cell division and growth, particularly focusing on their relation to antimicrobial resistance. The positions are funded by the Wellcome Trust as part of a major Discovery Award and will be part of an international collaboration with research groups at Sheffield and Jena. The work involves advanced imaging approaches in S. aureus and B. subtilis to understand the spatial activity of individual molecules and their role in creating the cell wall architecture. The positions offer an opportunity to contribute to a multidisciplinary team and will pay 20% above the NIH minimum.
