Designation/Position- Assistant Professor (on Contract)
Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Pune, an institute of national importance, established by an Act of Parliament, under Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India under Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) mode invites applications from well qualified and strongly motivated candidates with passion towards research and academics, to work as Assistant Professor (on Contract) purely on temporary basis, for a period of eleven months in the area of Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Eligibility/Qualification–

| CSE | M.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering or equivalent. Both Graduation and M.Tech. Should be with First Class or Equivalent Grade. Candidates with Ph.D. (awarded/thesis submitted) in the relevant discipline are encouraged to apply. |
| ECE | Ph.D. (awarded/thesis submitted) in the relevant or equivalent discipline and shall have First Class in the preceding degrees. |
| ASH | Ph.D. (awarded/thesis submitted) in the relevant or equivalent discipline and shall have First Class in the preceding degrees. |
- Desirable Experience: Minimum of one year will be preferred in Teaching / Research / Industry.
- Desirable Requirement: Candidate having PhD from CFTIs like IITs, NITs, IIITs, INIs etc. will be preferred. People with higher qualifications & good academic record shall be given preference.
Job/Position Description-
- Emolument: Rs. 1,00,000/-* per Month (PhD Holders (PhD Thesis submitted))
Rs. 75,000/-* per Month (Non-PhD Holders)
These positions are purely on a temporary and contractual basis for a period of 11 months and may be extended only once, with a mandatory break in service, subject to satisfactory performance and approval of the Competent Authority.
Only Shortlisted Candidates shall be communicated about the mode, date and other relevant details for the interview/test. The decision of the Screening Committee shall be final in all respects.

The last date for submission of applications through online mode is 30th June 2026. The tentative date of interview is 17th July 2026. Interviews shall be conducted in offline mode; however, candidates may be permitted to appear through online mode on a case-to-case basis, subject to approval by the competent authority.
