About- Applications are invited for the position of Business Development Officer on a contractual basis for the Center for Medical Innovation & Entrepreneurship (CMIE) which is a   BIRAC-sponsored BioNEST program at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi sanctioned for 3 years. All India Institute of Medical Sciences is a premier medical institution with National and Global recognition for its contribution to patient care, education, and research. CMIE is expected to catalyze the academia & industry interaction by the strengthening of Indian start-up ecosystem and transforming it into a major hub for health care innovation. Eligibility/Qualification–

Essential Qualification: A PhD in life sciences/Engineering/ first class graduate with post

graduate degree in finance  

Experience: The candidate should have experience of a minimum of 2 years in the field of project/service related to Business Development/ Entrepreneurship Development/Technology Commercialization.   

Age limit: 50 yrs.  

Job/Position Description- 

Name of the post and consolidated EmolumentsJob Description and responsibilities
Business Development Officer   Emoluments:  Rs. 100,000 per month (Fixed)Business development, target setting, planning & monitoring:  Work closely with the Project Investigator, Project Coordinator, and Faculty Mentoring Committee to develop business and monitor performance of the incubator CMIE; to track progress against targets and prepare regular reports for the Board and Committees; Contribute to the formulation and dissemination of annual plans, monitor their implementation and make appropriate changes within areas of responsibility; Manage the design and dissemination of publicity material for business development.

Finance: Oversee budgetary management and the preparation of accounts and financial reports; Development of financial policies and procedures to ensure effective management of CMIE; Manage contracts, tendering arrangements, and ongoing relationships with suppliers.  

Governance: Manage an effective and efficient interaction and meetings of the Board, its committees, and other associated groups; Coordinate working groups and/or committees to ensure effective outcomes in line with the agreed objectives and resources. Any other duties as may be assigned by the Project Investigator within the context of the contract of employment.  

The appointment will be initially for a period of three months which may be extended based on a satisfactory performance evaluation. The position is presently under project mode and will be co- terminus with the project.
