About- The Institute of Technology (IOT), Zakura, under the School of Engineering, is inviting online applications from eligible candidates for the engagement of Contractual Assistant Professors for the Academic Session 2026. These appointments are purely temporary academic arrangements based on institutional needs and will remain valid until the end of the academic session or until regular positions are filled, whichever occurs earlier. Qualified candidates from engineering, mathematics, and management disciplines are encouraged to apply.

Eligibility/Qualification–

For Engineering Departments

(Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science)

Essential Qualification

B.E./B.Tech and M.E./M.Tech in relevant branch with First Class in at least one of the two degrees, as per AICTE Regulations dated March 1, 2019.

Desirable Qualification

Ph.D. in relevant discipline

Additional Eligibility

Candidates with direct Ph.D after B.E./B.Tech are eligible if:
- The Ph.D. is awarded by a recognized university following UGC guidelines.
- Or awarded by Institutes of National Importance (IITs/IISc/NITs, etc.).
- The candidate must have First Class at Bachelor’s level.
Ph.D. from foreign universities ranked in top 500 globally by any of the following is also acceptable:
- QS World University Rankings
- Times Higher Education (THE)
- Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU)

For Engineering Mathematics & Management Studies

Essential Qualification

Master’s Degree in the relevant subject with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade from a recognized university.

Additional Requirement

NET / SET / SLET qualification OR Ph.D.

Designation: Contractual Assistant Professor

Selected candidates will:

Assist in maintaining academic standards and contributing to institutional development.

The appointment is purely contractual and need-based for the Academic Session 2026.
