About- Indian Institute of Petroleum & Energy (IIPE), an Institute of National Importance at par with IITs and IIMs and enacted by Parliament vide the Indian Institute of Petroleum & Energy Act, 2017 (No: 3 of 2018), requires faculty for its various academic units.

Eligibility/Qualification–
invites applications for the post of Director from candidates possessing PhD with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch in Petroleum, Chemical Engineering or Geology and other related fields with an outstanding academic record throughout and a minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Professor in a reputed educational institute equivalent to IITs and should have guided Ph.D Students.
Job/Position Description-
- The Director of IIPE is the academic and administrative head of the institute.
- He/she is expected to have a minimum of 5 years’ administrative experience and leadership qualities to head an Institute of National Importance.
- The applicant should not be more than 65 years of age, preferably be less than 60 years of age on the last date of receipt of the applications.
- The post carries a fixed pay of Rs. 2,25,000/- per month, with applicable allowances.
The selection will be done on the basis of interview/ exam of the shortlisted candidates. The appointment will be made on contractual basis for a period of five years or till attainment of 70 years of age, whichever is earlier, as per usual terms and conditions.
