Experienced Postdoc Position: Join the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research in Stuttgart to lead scientific initiatives in solar batteries and optoionics within the SOLBAT project funded by the Max Planck Foundation.

Experienced Postdoc (m/f/d) | (Chemist / Material Scientist / Physicist (PhD)) for the SOLBAT project

Location: Stuttgart, Germany
Eligibility/Qualification: PhD in chemistry, material science, physics or related subject with expertise in solid state electrochemistry/solid state ionics or (photo)electrochemistry.
Job Description:

  • Scientific leadership and coordination of SOLBAT subprojects focusing on electrochemistry.
  • Design and realization of solar batteries and light-assisted optoionic concepts.
  • Investigation of optoionic processes at an atomistic scale and analysis of structure-property-function relationships.
  • Supervision of electrochemical characterization techniques including impedance spectroscopy, electroanalytical techniques, and spectroelectrochemistry.
  • Co-supervision of PhD students and postdocs, building external collaboration networks, and administrative support.
  • Conceptualization and publication of scientific papers, patents, and project proposals.
