About- Established under the Central Universities Act, 2009 (Section 25 of 2009) as Central University of Bihar (CUB) and the name since changed by the Central Universities (Amendment) Act, 2014 to Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) is an institution of higher learning in the state of Bihar. With the motto, i.e. ‘Collective Reasoning’ the University has been conducting its academic and administrative activities from temporary premises in Patna and Gaya and looking forward to shifting to the permanent campus on a 300 acre plot of land at Panchanpur (near Gaya town). - Agricultural Sciences: Agricultural Extension, Plant Pathology, Soil Science, Entomology, Agronomy, Horticulture, Agricultural Economics, Livestock Production Management, Farm Machinery and Power Engineering, Genetics and Plant Breeding.
- Mathematical and Computational Sciences: Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science.

Eligibility/Qualification–
1. Professor
- Academic Background: An eminent scholar with a Ph.D. in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline.
- Research Output: At least 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 120.
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of teaching experience in University/College or research experience at an equivalent level, with evidence of successfully guided doctoral candidates.
2. Associate Professor
- Academic Background: A good academic record with a Ph.D. and a Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks.
- Research Output: A minimum of 7 publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 75.
- Experience: At least 8 years of teaching and/or research experience in an academic/research position equivalent to Assistant Professor.
3. Assistant Professor (Teacher Education)
- Academic Background: Post-Graduate degree in the concerned liberal discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Physics, Zoology) and a B.Ed. degree, both with minimum 55% marks.
- Mandatory Requirement: Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) or SLET/SET, or hold a Ph.D. in accordance with UGC Regulations.
