About- Dr. B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology was established in 1987 as Regional Engineering College. It was given the National Institute of Technology (Deemed University) status by the Government of India on October 17, 2002, under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, New Delhi. The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, has declared the Institute an “Institute of National Importance” under Parliament-2007. Many reputed Industrial houses in the country visit the Institution and select the final-year students as Engineers/ Management Trainees. As one of the National Institutes of Technology (NIT), the Institute is responsible for providing high-quality education in Engineering, Technology, and Sciences to produce a competent technical and scientific workforce for the country. Eligibility/Qualification–
Engineering Department: UG and PG degrees in engineering with PhD in relevant branch/discipline of engineering
or
Integrated UG and PG in engineering, and PhD in relevant branch/discipline of engineering
or
UG in engineering, and integrated PG and PhD in relevant branch/discipline of engineering.
For the Candidates having PhD. degree in engineering directly after graduation (B E/B Tech etc.), the candidates should have either B. E / B. Tech or Ph D from CFTI. Those candidates will also be considered provided they fulfil other norms.
- Physics / Chemistry: PhD with BSc (3 years/4 years) and MSc (in appropriate branch) or Integrated MSc with PhD in appropriate branch.
- Mathematics & Computing: B. Tech. / M. Tech. in Computer Science / Information Technology / Data Science / Mathematics and Computing
or
Integrated M. Sc. / M. Tech. in Computer Science / Data Science / Statistics
or
B. Sc. and M. Sc. in Computer Science / Data Science / Statistics
and
Ph. D. in relevant fields mentioned above.
Experience:
Experience (including prior to implementation of NIRF) shall be considered if acquired in any of the following Institutions:
- Fully funded Central Educational Institutions.
- IIMs and other Management Institutions ranked by NIRF up to 50 for any two years.
- State Educational Institutions funded by respective State Government.
- Other Educational Institutions ranked by NIRF up to 100 in overall, in Universities or
Engineering Institutions category for any two years. In case the Institution in which the candidate is working/has worked does not fulfill the NIRF criteria, the NIRF ranking of the University to which the Institution is/was affiliated shall be considered.
- Experience in overseas Institutes/Universities where the QS / THE ranking is upto 500 anytime preceding the date of advertisement will be considered.
- Experience as a Post-Doctoral fellow (PDF) will be considered for the appointment to the post of Assistant Professor up to Pay Level 12.
Age Limit: Fresh appointment beyond the age of 60 years is discouraged except in the case of faculty with exceptionally brilliant research/academic career and with ongoing or approved externally funded research project(s).
Job/Position Description-
The candidates shall have to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 2000/- through online mode (debit/credit card/net banking) while filling out the online application form, whereas Rs. 1000/- shall be paid by the candidates from SC/ST, EWS & PWD category.
The short-listed candidates may be required to appear for a presentation/seminar in the respective departments in addition to facing the Selection Committee. No TA/DA will be paid for attending tests/interviews.
