About- Dr. B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology was established in 1987 as Regional Engineering College. It was given the National Institute of Technology (Deemed University) status by the Government of India on October 17, 2002, under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, New Delhi. The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, has declared the Institute an “Institute of National Importance” under Parliament-2007. Many reputed Industrial houses in the country visit the Institution and select the final-year students as Engineers/ Management Trainees. As one of the National Institutes of Technology (NIT), the Institute is responsible for providing high-quality education in Engineering, Technology, and Sciences to produce a competent technical and scientific workforce for the country. Eligibility/Qualification–
- General Requirement: First division in both Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) degrees is mandatory.
- Engineering Departments: B.E./B.Tech and M.E./M.Tech with a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline.
- Physics/Chemistry: Ph.D. with B.Sc. and M.Sc. in the appropriate branch.
- Mathematics & Computing: B.Tech/M.Tech in CS/IT/Maths or B.Sc./M.Sc. in Maths/Stats/CS with a Ph.D. in a relevant field.
- Humanities & Management: Ph.D. in Management with an MBA/PGDM or equivalent.
- Institutional Ranking: At least one degree (UG/PG/Ph.D.) must be from a CFTI, a Central/State Govt. Institution, or an institution in the top 100 NIRF rankings. Foreign degrees must be from institutions ranked in the QS/THE top 500.

Selected candidates will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, conducting high-quality research, supervising Ph.D. scholars, and participating in administrative duties within the Institute. Faculty members are expected to contribute to the academic growth of the department and maintain an active research profile through publications in SCI journals and externally funded projects.
