About- Indian Institute of Information Technology Bhagalpur (IIIT Bhagalpur) is one of the 25 IIITs set up by MoE, Govt. of India under the Act of Parliament, IIIT (PPP) Act, 2017, and it is an “Institute of National Importance.” It is a joint venture of Govt. of India (50%), Govt. of Bihar (35%) and BELTRON (15%).

The Institute was established in the year of 2017 and currently functioning with B. Tech, M. Tech, and Ph.D. programs in three branches, namely Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Mechatronics Engineering.

Eligibility/Qualification/Job/Position Description-

Online applications are invited from Indian nationals (UR, EWS, SC, ST, OBC-NCL and PwD) for the post of Assistant Professor in the different departments of the Institute, namely Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechatronics & Automation Engineering and Basic Sciences and Humanities (Mathematics) under 4 tier flexible faculty cadre structure. For the Departments which are not having any vacancy, movement in higher Academic Grade Pay (AGP) or cadre shall be carried out as per specified selection process but it will be restricted to only for the serving faculty of the Institute.

Each application must be accompanied by non-refundable Application Fee of ₹ 1,500/- (Rupees Fifteen Hundred Only) for UR, OBC-NCL; ₹ 750 (Rupees Seven Hundred only) for SC/ST/EWS. PwD candidates are exempted from Application Fee.

The candidates are advised to fill online application form on Institute website https://www.iiitbh.ac.in The candidates are advised to download the submitted application form and keep a hard copy of the same. Online application form once submitted, no further modification would be possible. The duly completed application form, along with duly self- attested supporting documents, such as the self-attested copies of relevant testimonials, certificates, enclosures, must be sent to the Office of the Director, Indian Institute of Information Technology Bhagalpur, Sabour, Bhagalpur, Bihar, India-813210 latest by 05/03/2024; 5:00 PM failing which their candidature will not be considered. The envelope containing the application be super-scribed as “Application for the Post of……………………in the Department / of ……………………….”
