National Institute of Technology Nagaland, India, invites applications for Faculty Positions at National Institute of Technology from eligible and interested candidates.

About- National Institute of Technology Nagaland is among the 31 NITs established at Chumukedima, Dimapur by the Government of India by an Act of the Parliament offering UG, PG and Ph.D. programs in Engineering/Technology and Sciences. Applications are invited for the faculty positions of Assistant Professor (Grade-I & II) from Indian nationals possessing excellent academic background, commitment to quality teaching and potential for carrying out outstanding research by the approved norms.

Water resources engineering:  Subsurface Hydrology, stochastic hydrology, sediment transport modelling, hydrologic extremes modelling. Remote sensing: Hyperspectral remote sensing and applications, microwave remote sensing and applications, GIS and GPS and its applications;  Structural Engineering:  Condition assessment of reinforced concrete system; steelconcrete and composites; Uncertainty modelling and Sensitivity analysis of structures; Structural Dynamics and Vibration Control;   Semi-light weight concrete with cold bonded aggregates. Warping Influence on Cold-Formed Steel, Chloride-Induced Corrosion in RC Structures, Structural Health Monitoring. Geotechnical Engineering:  Soil Mechanics, Foundation Engineering, Ground Improvement Techniques, Soil Dynamics, Rock Dynamics, Soil Stabilization, Earth retaining structures.  

Eligibility/Qualification–

Detailed Education Qualification including specializations and other eligible criteria for filling up the aforementioned posts as per the extant Recruitment Rules duly approved by the erstwhile Ministry of Human Resource Department/ Ministry of Education, Government of India is available in the Institute’s website www.nitnagaland.ac.in.

Mode of Appointment:  On Direct Recruitment/ Deputation Basis in accordance with the RR as
Applicable for the posts to be filled up. The indicated vacancies are tentative only. At First instance, Selection process will be conducted for the Post of Professor.  If the post is not filled up due to nonselection of incumbents or due to lack of applicants and the post continue to remain vacant, aftermath to this, the selection process will be initiated for the post of Assistant Professor as indicated above. If the post of Professor is filled, the applications/ candidature submitted for the post of Assistant Professor as above, will not be considered for any purpose including for future purpose.
