About- IIIT Una is one of the 20 IIITs being set up, funded, and managed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. The partners setting up IIIT Una are the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, the Govt. of Himachal Pradesh, HP Power Corporation Limited, and HP Transmission Corporation Limited. Admissions to the undergraduate programs in the Institute are made through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).

Eligibility/Qualification–
- Ph.D. in an appropriate discipline
- Experience of 15 years in teaching and research, at least 4 years at the level of Associate Professor (level 13A2) or at least seven years at the level of Associate Professor (level 13A1).
- Ten publications in SCI/SCIE/SCOPUS indexed journals (unpaid), out of which two should be at the level of Associate Professor.
- Three publications in refereed conferences at the level of Associate Professor.
- Four Ph.D. were awarded, of which one may be in the submitted stage.
- Two Sponsored or at least one high-value project/consultancy completed or ongoing at the level of Associate Professor.
- Participation in at least two outreach programs, such as short courses as coordinator or main teacher at the level of Associate Professor.
- A significant contribution to Institute management.
- Cumulative Essential Credit Points – 80
