About- Bose Institute invites applications from Indian nationals for faculty positions at the levels of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor in the Departments of Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, and Physical Sciences. A total of 11 faculty positions are available across these levels. The Institute seeks highly motivated candidates with an outstanding academic record and a strong research profile, particularly in new and emerging areas of science that complement existing research programs.

Eligibility-
Assistant Professor
- Ph.D. in Basic or Applied Science / Technology from a recognized university/institution
- Consistently good academic record
- Experience (any one):
- Minimum 3 years of R&D / academic / industrial experience
- OR minimum 3 years of research experience in Science & Technology / Industry
- OR minimum 4 years of regular service in Pay Level 11 (7th CPC)
- Publications of commendable merit
- Experience counted only after Ph.D. thesis defense
Associate Professor
- Ph.D. in Basic or Applied Science / Technology
- Minimum 8 years of research/professional experience (excluding Ph.D.)
- At least 4 years at Pay Level 12 (7th CPC) or equivalent
OR - 8 years of regular service at Pay Level 11 or equivalent
- At least 4 years at Pay Level 12 (7th CPC) or equivalent
- Strong publication record in frontier areas of Physical, Chemical, or Biological Sciences
Professor
- Ph.D. in Basic or Applied Science / Technology
- Experience (any one):
- Minimum 16 years of R&D experience in Industry / Academia / S&T Organizations
- OR minimum 12 years of experience (excluding Ph.D.) with at least 5 years at Pay Level 13
- Proven leadership in research
- Supervision of Ph.D. scholars
- Receipt of research grants
- Laboratory/course/technology development and/or patents with funded research output

- Age Limit: Not exceeding 50 years
The selected candidate will be expected to:
- Develop and lead independent research programs in emerging areas
- Participate in existing basic and applied research projects
- Supervise Ph.D. scholars and mentor postdoctoral fellows
- Secure extramural research funding
- Contribute significantly to teaching and training programs
- Promote creativity, collaboration, and research excellence
- Participate in academic, outreach, and institutional activities
- Undertake organizational responsibilities as assigned
- (For Associate Professor & Professor) Provide leadership in nationally and internationally relevant research programs
