About- International Centre for Theoretical Sciences, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (ICTS-TIFR), Bengaluru hosts a vibrant in-house postdoctoral program. Founded in 2007, ICTS is a new initiative in Indian science. It is conceived to contribute to the growth of excellence in the basic sciences through its programs, interactions, and cross-fertilization between disciplines. Research/Job Area-
Theoretical physics, mathematics, astronomy, theoretical physical chemistry, theoretical physical biology, and related fields
- Complex systems:Â Non-linear dynamics and Data assimilation, Statistical physics, Fluid dynamics and turbulence, Condensed matter physics, Physical biology;Â
- Space-time physics:Â String theory and Quantum field theory, Astrophysical relativity;Â
- Mathematics:Â Differential geometry, Mathematical physics, Dynamical systems, Data assimilation, Monsoon dynamics, Analysis of partial differential equations and applications.
- Other areas under active consideration are cosmology, multiscale and complex systems including interfaces with theoretical biology, computer science and computational sciences with strong interface to other research areas at ICTS.Â

Job/Position Description-
The International Centre for Theoretical Sciences (ICTS), in collaboration with NCBS, Bangalore, invites applications for the AI in Biology Postdoctoral Fellowship as part of the CALIBRE initiative. This fellowship is designed for early-career researchers to integrate AI approaches with biological research across various disciplines.

The selected fellow will:
- Engage in innovative projects that integrate AI with biological research.
- Contribute to CALIBRE activities including research, development, teaching, workshops, and outreach.
- Benefit from access to high-performance computing, an in-house library, scientific journals, and travel support for international meetings.
