Eligibility/Qualification–
- The applicants are expected to be experts in their fields with wide-ranging interests in other ECS and allied disciplines.
- The candidate must have an outstanding publication record, extensive teaching experience, and ideally, should be able to procure, or already possess external research funding.
- The candidate must also be able to envisage themselves as an integral part of program development.
- The applicants should include a statement of their vision for the growth of the program and how they view themselves as part of this process.

- Associate Professor: A minimum of 3 years of experience at the level of Assistant Professor with high-quality independent research publications and a consistent teaching record.
- Professor: A minimum of 4 years of experience at the level of Associate Professor with an outstanding record of internationally recognized research publications and an excellent teaching record.
Job/Position Description-
The Institute invites online applications from Indian Nationals, including eligible Persons of Indian Origins (PIOs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) and Non Resident Indian (NRIs) possessing relevant work experience and an excellent academic record including highquality publications in reputed journals for the positions of Assistant Professor (Grade-I) inthe Department of Humanities & Social Sciences, Science Education and Data Science :

| Scale of Pay | Academic Pay Level-12 (Entry pay Rs. 1,01,500/-). Gross monthly emoluments at the base of the scale – Rs. 1,77,400/- approximately. |
| Qualification & Experience | Ph.D. in the relevant area in Humanities and Social Sciences / Science Education / Data Science with first class at the preceding degree and at least 3 years post-Ph.D. industrial / research / teaching experience. |
- Faculty positions at the level of Assistant Professor Grade I at IISER Pune are tenure track positions and will be initially offered for a period of 5 years from the date of joining the position. Further continuation after 5 years period is subject to a performance review.
- Posts are as per the 7th CPC academic scale applicable to IISER Pune and carry allowances like Dearness, House Rent, Transport and Children’s Education as admissible to Central Government employees posted in Pune.
- Faculty is eligible for medical facility as per the Institute norms & LTC facility as per the Government of India Norms
- Posts are covered under New Pension Scheme of Govt. of India.
