Job Description
- MS Student Responsibilities:
- Investigate the effectiveness of fire risk reduction strategies in mixed-conifer forests in the Intermountain West.
- Participate in teamwork skill development, extension activities, and mentoring training.
- PhD Student Responsibilities:
- Quantify and monitor the effects of management activities and silviculture treatments on forest structure and disturbance.
- Investigate joint drivers of biotic and abiotic disturbances.
- Engage in collaborative research with faculty advisors.
Expectations for All Students:
- Maintain organized databases.
- Contribute to collective projects and publish work in peer-reviewed journals.
- Present research to diverse audiences including policymakers and landowners.
