About- Lalit Narayan Mithila University (LNMU) is officially inviting online applications from eligible candidates for engagement as Guest/Part-Time Teachers across various academic subjects. This recruitment is conducted on a purely temporary basis to fulfill the university’s immediate teaching requirements. Selected candidates will be compensated through an honorarium system based on the number of classes taught. Eligibility/Qualification–

Educational Qualifications: Applicants must possess a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in the Concerned/Relevant/Allied subjects.
Marks Relaxation: A 5% marks relaxation is available for SC/ST/EBC (Non-creamy layer)/BC (Non-creamy layer) candidates of Bihar, and physically challenged candidates from any part of the country. Ph.D. holders who obtained their Master’s prior to September 19, 1991, also receive a 5% relaxation.
Mandatory Testing/Degrees: Candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or CSIR, or an accredited test like SLET/SET. Alternatively, candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009 or 2016 (or prior to 2009 under specific conditions) are exempted from the NET/SLET/SET requirement.
Age Limit: The maximum age for applicants must not exceed 55 years as of January 01, 2026.

Job/Position Description-

Designation Guest/Part-Time Teacher

Tenure: The engagement is purely on a part-time basis and is strictly limited to an 11-month period, or until the regular appointment of Assistant Professors is made by the Bihar State University Service Commission, Patna.
Remuneration: Teachers will receive an honorarium of INR 1500 per class. The total monthly compensation is capped at a maximum of INR 50000.
Conditions of Service: These positions are not linked to regular appointments and cannot be regularized or absorbed at any stage. Furthermore, the competent authority reserves the right to terminate the engagement prior to the completion of 11 months without assigning any reason.

Document Uploads: Applicants are required to upload both sides of their marksheets, relevant CGPA-to-percentage conversion formulas, and their best five research publications.
Hard Copy Submission: After successful online submission, candidates must take a print-out of the application form, sign it duly, and submit the hard copy to the university before the stipulated deadline.
