Eligibility/Qualification–
PhD in Materials Science or related area.
Priority will be given to candidates with experience in Metallurgy, High-Temperature Materials Processing, Thermal Transport Measurements, TEM, Nanocarbon Composites, and Instrument Design.
Experience with Thin-film Technology, Electrochemistry, or Raman Spectroscopy is advantageous.
Job/Position Description- The Materials and Interface Nanotechnology Laboratory is seeking a talented postdoctoral research fellow for a 2-yr appointment.
The successful candidate will join a collaborative research project in the area of Advanced Materials Processing between Profs. Salamanca-Riba, Rabin, Wuttig and Hu of the Department of Materials Science & Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park.
The project aims to understanding the effect of carbon nanostructures on the electrical, thermal and mechanical properties of metal-carbon composites. The project involves industry partners.
The position is available immediately. Applicant must be available to work full-time by Aug 1, 2019. We offer a competitive salary and health benefits.
