Ph.D. Studentship in Acute Oncology: We are offering an exciting Ph.D. studentship opportunity at the Oxford Institute of Applied Health Research (OxINAHR) for individuals passionate about making a tangible difference in acute oncology patient care. This role involves conducting comprehensive research to optimize support for acute oncology patients, with a focus on understanding patient experiences, addressing unmet needs, and enhancing service delivery.

Ph.D. Studentship in Acute Oncology Patient Support Research

Location: Headington (Marston Road site), Oxford

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Applicants should hold a first or upper-second-class honors degree from a Higher Education Institution in the UK or an acceptable equivalent qualification.
  • EU Applicants must have a valid IELTS Academic test certificate (or equivalent) with an overall minimum score of 7.0 and no score below 6.0 issued in the last 2 years by an approved test center.
  • Prior experience in cancer, healthcare, or health services research is preferred.

Job Description:
The successful candidate will undertake in-depth research efforts including systematic reviews, interviews with acute oncology patients and healthcare professionals, and a national survey of acute oncology HCPs. Engaging with service users and obtaining HRA approval will be integral to this role. The candidate will play a crucial role in identifying unmet patient needs, understanding healthcare professionals’ views, and exploring opportunities for service delivery improvements.
