Eligibility / Qualification
To qualify for this position, applicants must have a blend of scientific curiosity and practical measurement skills, specifically:
- A Master’s degree in chemistry, physics, environmental sciences, or a related field.
- A strong motivation to engage in an interdisciplinary atmospheric chemistry project and work with custom-built laser spectroscopy instruments.
- Demonstrated experience in data analysis using mathematical script languages or Python.
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
- A very good command of written and spoken English, possessing an extensive vocabulary (minimum B2 level according to CEFR), ideally backed by a language certificate.
Job Description
Your daily tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Measuring the total reactivity of air pollutants during various field campaigns.
- Evaluating and analyzing the gathered data to better understand the measured composition of the air.
- Working to improve ozone pollution predictions by applying total reactivity measurements.
- Publishing research results in recognized international journals and presenting findings at academic conferences.
