Research Area

This PhD position will focus on elucidating virus-host protein-protein interactions in infected cells using advanced methods in structural and quantitative proteomics, particularly during HSV-1 infections.

Eligibility/Qualification

Candidates should have:

  • A degree in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related field.

Job Description

The selected candidate will:

  • Develop and establish methodologies for UV-based structural proteomics using HSV-1 in cell culture.
  • Analyze, interpret, and present data while contributing to software solutions.
  • Participate in collaborative projects in herpes virology.
  • Formulate biological hypotheses based on data and test them experimentally.
  • Dedicate time to personal scientific qualification for obtaining a PhD.
