Eligibility/Qualification–
The prospective candidate is expected to have a strong interest in Biotechnology and Tissue Engineering with thorough working experience in Biomaterials synthesis and characterization, in-vitro and in-vivo evaluations, cell culture and all related techniques. Other research activities may include participating in research discussions with collaborating universities and research centers, mentoring other students, proposal writing, etc.
- The prospective candidate should have PhD degree in Biology /Biotechnology /Biochemistry lBiomedical/Biomaterials /Bio-nanotechnology, with quality publications in related fields and working experience.
- Candidates who have recently submitted their doctoral thesis are also eligible to apply subject to the condition that they will furnish the proof of award of Ph.D at the time of interview and also fulfil abovementioned criteria.
Job/Position Description-
Centre of Nanotechnology at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee invites applications from outstanding and enthusiastic researchers for post doctoral position for working on a project focused on ‘Design and development of a biofilm modulated antibiotic releasing coating system for orthopedic implants“.
The duration of the fellowship will be of two years extendable to one more year, if necessary.
The candidate is expected to join the Department as soon as offer letter has been released.
- The fellow will receive a consolidated fellowship as below in addition to the contingency grant of ₹ 50,000/-per annum.
- First two years: ₹ 55,000/- per month
- Third-year: ₹ 60,000/- per month (If extended)
Notes:
(i) All the postdoctoral fellows (PDF) will be registered as IIT Roorkee students for availing the facilities of accommodation, hospital, medical insurance scheme, computer center, library, sports, etc.
(ii) The candidate called for discussion/interview will be reimbursed Bus/Train (2nd AC) fare from their place of residence/work and return by the shortest route within India on the production of train/bus tickets or PNR number.
