Location- Hyderabad

Eligibility/Qualification–

Ph.D. with BE/BTech/Equivalent in Chemical Engg/Metallurgical Engg/Materials Engg/Materials science/Production Engg/Environmental Engg.

(or)

Ph.D. with MSc in chemistry/Environmental science/equivalent with relevant research/industrial experience related to metal extraction/recycling/recovery processes. The experience will be cross-checked from the submitted documents (publications, PhD synopsis, etc.).

Minimum 1 Publication in a Scopus-indexed journal.
The candidate should have good academic records throughout and good writing/communication skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

Expertise on the extraction of rare earth, critical metals from secondary sources such as fly ash, coal, red mud, etc
Hands-on experience in TGA/DSC, TEM, XRD, SEM-EDS, spectrometers, etc.

Experience – Fresh Ph.D. (at least provisional degree certificate awarded)/ preferably with some post-doc Experience

IP generated
Different approaches to solve real problems of rare earth metal extraction through physical separation, hydrometallurgy, and pyrometallurgy.
New knowledge/ technology solutions in metal extraction processes.

Expected Outcomes – IP, Scalable Technology, Research-oriented technical minds, new application areas of CPS, and start-ups.

Job/Position Description-

Position – Post-Doctoral Research Fellow (MSME/REE Extraction & Recovery) under CLEANZ CoE

Type of Position – The position is for one year, with an extension subject to performance through a review process.

Fellowship – Consolidated pay Rs. 70,680 to Rs 85,000 per month (including HRA) based on post-doc experience

Job Description –

To develop a definite research product/outcome with TRL 4/5 Level.
Review of relevant literature and coordinate the work with the team.
Experience in handling experimental and large-scale hydro & pyro metallurgical facilities.
Report preparation, article writing, and lab management.
Interaction with sponsored agencies, traveling for project execution (if needed), etc.
