Required Qualifications
- Doctoral Degree: A Ph.D. or an equivalent foreign degree in materials science, materials physics, materials characterization, or a closely related field (must be completed by the time the employment decision is made).
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrated hands-on experience in APT characterization of metallic materials, covering specimen preparation, data acquisition, and reconstruction/analysis.
- Language Proficiency: Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Personal Competencies: Self-motivated, initiative-driven, strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities, with solid collaborative skills to both lead and support research.
Preferred Qualifications
- A doctoral degree obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline.
- Solid background in physical metallurgy and solid-state phase transformations.
- Experience with complementary characterization techniques (e.g., FIB-SEM, TEM).

Job Description
As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will:
- Perform APT characterization and data analysis as a core component of individual and collaborative research projects.
- Apply complementary techniques (such as FIB-SEM and TEM) to establish comprehensive process–structure–property correlations in metallic materials.
- Support the development of novel alloys and processing routes via advanced microstructural understanding.
- Collaborate closely with academic and industrial partners both in Sweden and internationally.
- Contribute to student supervision and disseminate findings via peer-reviewed journal publications and international conference presentations.
