Job Description

The postdoc project will involve two primary goals:

1. Developing novel cleavable linkages that activate peptide therapeutics upon bond breakage.
2. Creating new methods for localized chemical modification of native peptides to increase their resistance to enzymatic breakdown.

Duties will include:

• Conducting research within synthetic organic chemistry on peptides.
• Performing chemical modification of proteins.
• Engaging in peptide medicinal chemistry.
• Undertaking teaching responsibilities.
• Potentially performing other duties as required by the department.
